Eco Choice Interiors cuts ribbon on new home decor store on square – LaGrange Daily News

On Wednesday, the LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce celebrated the expansion of Eco Choice Interiors into the retail space with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Eco Choice Interiors is a design and remodeling company in LaGrange that has been in business for 18 years. The business specializes in remodels, floor plans, layouts and space planning, utilizing 3D rendering. Owner Jennifer Spears said they specialize in helping customers complete their renovation projects from concept through completion. 

Spears said ECI Elements came about because their customers wanted them to help them fill their spaces once the renovation was complete.

“We have cabinets and flooring and hardware and all of those hard finishes. When we finish a project for somebody, they had this beautiful space, but they didn’t have anything to put in it, and they wanted us to continue that process with them and finish the space out,”  Spears said.

“ECI Elements takes the next step in finishing your home. We finish with soft finishes like rugs, draperies, accessories, home decor, linens, things of that nature that make the house a home.”

Spears said the new store allows them to go a step beyond the remodel. “It’s just fulfilling a need of our customers,” she said.

“Anybody can come and redo their home and feel like it’s a new space, but this makes it feel like a home,” Spears said.

Eco Choice Interiors got started specializing in eco-friendly materials.

“We try very hard to be eco-friendly. In the construction world, that is a hard thing to do, but it’s something I’ve been passionate about for years. I have my LEED building certification, and so I try to use sustainable and renewable products. We reuse items when we can and use recycled products, and just focus on the education for people with that when you’re building and renewing a home,” Spears said.

Spears said those efforts have continued at the new store, but it’s less so about sustainability. 

“We have certain products that we try to use that are organic and recycled glass and things of that nature. But in home decor, it’s not as many eco-friendly items as when you’re building and remodeling,” Spears said.

ECO Elements is open Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. They’re closed on Sundays and Mondays right now, but their hours are expected to be extended soon for the holiday season.
